Horror for parents: When children go missing

There is hardly anything worse for parents: their own child does not come home at the agreed time and may even remain missing for days, weeks, months or years. In Tyrol alone, there have already been 218 reports of missing minors this year. Fortunately, many of them turn up on their own - but there is currently no trace of ten of them.

The relatives and friends of the 14-year-old girl from Innsbruck, who disappeared without a trace in Scharnitz (Innsbruck-Land district) on Tuesday morning, can breathe a sigh of relief. The girl and her boyfriend were found unharmed by a police patrol in Bremen in northern Germany on Thursday morning. "The young people had left home for personal reasons," said the Tyrolean police.
