Neustifter Kirtag: This is what the safety plan looks like

More than 100,000 visitors are expected at the Neustift Kirtag. After the cancellation of the Swift concerts and death threats against the chancellor, the security issue is highly explosive. Kirtag organizer Michael Eischer spoke to the "Krone" about the security concept and what else awaits visitors.  

The traditional Kirtag in Neustift am Walde takes place from Thursday, August 22nd to Sunday, August 25th. It is a must-attend event for many Viennese and, after the Danube Island Festival, the most visited event with free admission. More than 100,000 visitors are expected over the four days in the wine-growing village.

Following the cancellation of the Swift concerts due to Islamist attack plans and the death threats made by an Afghan against Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer - who also plans to attend the Kirtag - the security issue is even more of a focus than usual.
