Prices slow down after huge increase

An analysis by the "Krone" and the Salzburg Chamber of Labor shows: Some everyday groceries have recently become cheaper after massive increases. What remains, however, is still a hole in the wallet after the daily shopping. No wonder, for example, that olive oil has become twice as expensive.

A few slices of sausage, a packet of butter, cheese, olive oil, bread rolls and home-grown tomatoes - everyone knows the feeling at the checkout in the grocery store: if you buy a few products for yourself and your loved ones for the evening snack, you're quickly out 30 euros. Or even more. That really adds up.
