Child manipulated during emergency surgery: another doctor fired

A 13-year-old girl is reported to have worked on a seriously injured man during an emergency operation at Graz Regional Hospital under the supervision of her mother, a surgeon. The woman was recently dismissed without notice. A second doctor must now also pack his bags for good.

The Styrian doctor who allegedly allowed her 13-year-old daughter to operate on a patient during an operation at the beginning of the year is now facing the same fate. As reported, the woman was recently dismissed without notice after she had previously been released from duty. However, the suspicions appear to have been substantiated to such an extent that the relationship of trust was no longer given. The University Hospital therefore pulled the ripcord, as it confirmed in a statement.
