The number of e-cars is rising steadily. In 2023, 41 percent more "electrics" were registered compared to the previous year, with the number of these cars in Austria already climbing above the 150,000 mark. This March, the credit insurer Acredia and Allianz Trade published a study forecasting a similar percentage increase in new registrations for the whole of Europe this year.
