Public transport construction sites split Vienna in two

The Schnellbahn, U4, Badner Bahn and many streetcar and bus lines are now all canceled at the same time with the start of the Wiener Linien summer construction sites. If you have to cross the city, you should allow plenty of time. Some lines are canceled for months.

At half-time, the score is 9:5 in Vienna's public transport match: five major construction sites are halfway through the year, with nine still to go. Most of them will start this weekend and last until September. Not only the U4, but also the S-Bahn main line and the Badner Bahn will be "cut in two" by September due to the closure of individual sections (see graphic below).
