New expert opinion: What killed a mother of three?

For 16 months, the residents of a small Carinthian community have been living in uncertainty and with an anxious question: is there a murderer among them? The judiciary is assuming that one of the residents was murdered. However, the how is still a mystery - which is why a new forensic medical report is now to provide certainty.

In Austria, the murder clearance rate is around 95 percent. So hardly any of the perpetrators get away scot-free. The case from the 170-soul village of Edling in Eberndorf is a particularly unfortunate exception. For 16 months, the investigation into the death of a mother of three seems to have been at a dead end.
