The island’s appeal is greater than the fear of fires
People leaving their hotels in a hurry, a hectic rush at the airport, luggage and people waiting on the beach - all these images were memorable in July 2023 when the fire raged on Rhodes. By the time regular flights to the Greek island from Linz resume on Saturday, the fire will be long forgotten.
"The flight to Rhodes is ready to board!" This announcement will be heard at Linz Airport on Saturday for the first time in 2024, and will now get travelers in the waiting area moving three times a week until the autumn.
