There were many reactions to the report on the increasing rip-offs with possession offences and how politicians could put an end to them quickly. The motorists' clubs ARBÖ and ÖAMTC have made concrete proposals. Now the Ministry of Justice has had its say. However, only some people will be happy about the answer.

As reported, the rip-off with the enforcement of claims for interference with possession is getting out of hand throughout Austria. And it is almost unbelievable how much money is being taken from people for small, short-lived mistakes - such as turning around or driving/stopping on a property for a few seconds or minutes. Legislators should put an end to this rip-off. But will that happen?
