Frank Stronach: “Work is like sport for me”

Over a month ago, Frank Stronach (91) lost his wife Frieda (81), to whom he had been married for 60 years. In this interview, he talks about saying goodbye, his eternal plans and the lessons of a long life.

In the morning, he has already swum his daily lengths in the pool of his villa. Now he is sitting in his office in a brick house in Aurora, Canada. Despite being almost 92, self-made billionaire Frank Stronach shows no signs of fatigue. He cheerfully lectures: "Work is like sport for me. It gives me pleasure and keeps me fit. I am also very fortunate that I am healthy and still have a good spirit."

Just over a month ago, he lost his wife Frieda, to whom he had been married for 60 years and mother of their children Belinda and Andy. The humorous and down-to-earth Styrian was ten years younger than him and had lost her health in the grueling family dispute with daughter Belinda in 2018.
