Once a year the girls and boys have to be loud, because the Georgijagen is supposed to drive away the winter with the sound of horns and bells. This almost forgotten custom has been revived in Carinthia! In addition to St. George, a second extremely popular saint is on the list of those to be honored in spring.

In 2020, the village community of Latschach decided to revive the Georgijagen, which was only a rare event at the time. "This year, children in eleven villages are going Georgijagen," says a delighted Herbert Sternig from the village community.
