The election campaign for the municipal council and mayoral elections in Innsbruck is entering the hot finale: votes are also being canvassed on the internet, especially via videos. However, one media expert is not particularly impressed.

They are almost iconic: "Grias eich vom Team Gerechtes Innschbrugg - wo samma heit?" is how almost all of the numerous videos by GR Gerald Depaoli (Gerechtes) begin. The videos by Mayor Georg Willi (Greens) are different, as they often start with "I'm standing here...". From broad dialect to standard German: the videos on social media are as varied as the politicians themselves. They have one thing in common: they can no longer do without short videos (reels).
