Germans allow cannabis: Is EM the stoner coming?

On 1 April, our favourite neighbors legalize the consumption and cultivation of cannabis. This means that adults will soon be able to officially smoke joints in public. But what does this mean for the upcoming European Football Championships, which will be attended by hundreds of thousands of fans from all over Europe? Germany is already upside down, Krone+ shows what is possible - and what is not.

Right up to the end, the law was a nail-biter between the coalition government, the opposition and interest groups of all kinds. Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) is focusing on limiting risks and pushing back the black market in contaminated substances. However, he also emphasizes the message: "It may be legal, but there are problems." So far, many parents are unaware of how harmful consumption is. Young adults in particular should be made aware of the increased dangers.
