Hotspot club with new defensive tactics!
Not least because of the violence against women culminating in many femicides, a club located in a hotspot district of Linz is now introducing defensive mechanisms and defensive tactics for its five girls' and women's teams that actually have nothing to do with soccer...
Attacking, midfield or defensive pressing? Three-man, four-man or even five-man chains? Normally, it is tactical questions like these that play a role in soccer when it comes to defending. But two or three kilometers as the crow flies from the Linz soccer pitch where last Sunday at the ESV Westbahn - Steyregg reserve match, players from the home side physically attacked the assistant referee provided by their own club (!) due to a yellow-red card, resulting in a police intervention and the game being abandoned, completely different defensive mechanisms and defensive tactics are now being used.
