A meeting of the EU Agriculture Committee in Brussels on Tuesday is set to vote on a seed reform. Greenpeace sees massive deterioration for domestic farmers. The "Krone" spoke to ÖVP member and farmer Alexander Bernhuber about the vote. What it is about and who would really benefit.

Only around six weeks ago, local farmers made their voices heard at the EU Parliament in Brussels. On the day of the EU special summit, farmers chugged through the Belgian capital on their tractors and honked their horns to express their protest against agricultural regulations, high costs and a lot of bureaucracy. On Tuesday, the farmers will once again have a lot at stake.
