Get out of fossil fuels. This goal can only be achieved with the power of water, sun and wind. In Tyrol, the Provincial Environmental Ombudsman has defined areas for the construction of wind turbines. These are therefore in short supply.

There is still not a single wind turbine to be seen in Tyrol. Efforts by National Councillor Franz Hörl (ÖVP) to erect the first such plant for clean electricity in Gerlos came to nothing. So when and where the first wind turbine will be erected in the "Holy Land" is still written in the stars. In any case, the Environmental Ombudsman's Office has a weighty say in such projects. It recently produced a 20-page position paper on the subject.
