Topical: King Ottokar in a frenzy of rage

Whether Putin or Trump - powerful men have a lot of upper water at the moment. Franz Grillparzer has created a monument to one of them in the drama "King Ottokar's Happiness and End", but only to tell a beautiful story to the red-white-red soul. Stephanie Mohr stages the historical drama in a contemporary, topical and enjoyable way.

The fire-breathing panther is the heraldic animal of Styria and also the coat of arms of the town of Steyr. It was the emblem of the Ottokars. Now the coat of arms adorns the sweater of King Ottokar's boot servant, who plays his power games in the Linz Schauspielhaus and wins - and loses.
