Salzburg's SPÖ mayoral candidate Bernhard Auinger hints at retiring if he loses the run-off election and has his first concrete plans for housing.

For Bernhard Auinger and Kay-Michael Dankl, the election campaign is going into extra time. The two are still fighting for every vote until the run-off election on March 24. In the first round, they were 821 votes apart. Auinger is relying on his experience and is interspersing civic issues. "If we're honest, no one in the new city government has any experience apart from me," says the SPÖ candidate. "I'm no longer the apprentice, I've been doing this for six years."
