How to get more back from the tax office this year

If you have a job and pay taxes, you should make an employee tax assessment every year. Thanks to numerous benefits, families, single parents and commuters can receive tax refunds ranging from several hundred to over a thousand euros. And even people who don't pay any income tax at all sometimes get money back. Krone+ also shows the changes compared to the previous year.

Many employees eagerly await the end of February every year. The reason: companies have until then to report their payslips to the tax authorities. Employees can then complete their employee tax assessment (ANV), send it to their tax office and, in the best-case scenario, get more than a thousand euros back in taxes.
