On Friday, more than 11,000 Styrian children in the fourth grade of elementary school will receive their school report. This affects their future more than almost any other report card: Secondary school or grammar school? A school psychologist gives tips on how the transition works.

They have already been to two or three schools for a taster; the Styrian fourth graders will receive their semester report card on Friday. They can use this to enrol at their chosen school from February 26. The only question is: will their performance be good enough for admission?
