Who (does not) benefit from the rent freeze
The government is placing a special focus on affordable housing. But not everyone benefits equally. The "Krone" puts the measures in the government program to the test and shows what the price freeze and other measures mean for tenants.
Kronen Zeitung als bevorzugte Google-Quelle hinzufügen SPÖ leader and Vice-Chancellor Andreas Babler is full of euphoria about the measures achieved in the housing sector. In an Instagram video (see below), the new ÖVP Minister of Economic Affairs and briefly General of the Chamber of Commerce, Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, is also pleased about the upcoming rent freeze, saying it is important in the fight against inflation.
The fact is that the government has made housing a priority and included numerous reforms in its program; the housing chapter is very detailed and in some points even relatively specific. The "Krone" puts the most important points to the test.
