Flachgau loses yet another pub

There is no end to the death of pubs! Since 2012, there have been a quarter fewer pubs in the province of Salzburg, as figures from the Chamber of Commerce show. Now the next one is closing in Anthering. "It's simply no longer economically viable," complains the landlord, and he's not alone.

It's an almost never-ending story surrounding the Anthering Dorfwirt. Since the Vogl couple closed their inn in 2011, the building has stood empty for years. Then a few new tenants moved in and then moved out again after a short time.
