Judge asks: “What is actually the accusation?”
Day 1 of the hearing between the Federal Competition Authority and Brau Union in the Vienna Palace of Justice: although no fundamental decisions were made, the brewery association with its Austrian headquarters in Linz can certainly hope for a positive outcome to the further negotiations. Not least because the applicant did not appear to have a firm grasp of the situation.
Long leafing through the documents, perplexed looks at the lay assessors, shaking heads - Judge Romana Wieser was confirmed what she had already expected at the opening of the hearing: "There is still a lot of work ahead of us."
