Sensational youngsters: Austria as top nation!

FC Red Bull Salzburg, Sturm Graz and SK Rapid are a terror for any opponent in the U19 Youth League. On Wednesday, the Austrian trio will face Celtic, Lok Zagreb and Atlético Madrid in the last 32.

Austrian soccer in first place in the whole of Europe. No such thing? Yes, it is! The sensational successes of RB Salzburg, Sturm and Rapid in the U19 Youth League have propelled the ÖFB clubs to the top of the (fictitious) five-year rankings. This speaks volumes for the youth work at the top domestic clubs and, of course, the great development of the red-white-red academies.
