Golfer Sepp Straka missed out on victory at Pebble Beach, ultimately only finishing seventh. But another top result led to a historic event. The Austrian took the lead in the FedEx Cup rankings. Austria's Golf Association Sports Director Niki Zitny believes he is capable of much more.

A glance at the golf statistics these days causes great astonishment. An Austrian is leading the FedEx Cup ranking, the annual ranking of the PGA Tour, the best and most prestigious golf competition in the world. Of course, this is only a snapshot and still early in the season, but five tournaments have already been played and they make one thing very clear: Sepp Straka is one of golf's absolute elite.
