Apple Macbook Pro M4: 20-hour laptop in the test
The US computer company Apple has launched a new generation of its Macbook Pro professional laptop - with innovations such as an optional anti-glare screen and a new main processor. The M4 chip, which is based on ARM technology like in the iPhone, had to compete with a Core i9 chip from Intel in the test - and achieved amazing things.
It is now almost exactly four years since Apple gave its long-standing processor supplier Intel the boot and began equipping its Macbooks with its own Apple Silicon processors. These are based on the energy-saving ARM microarchitecture, which is also used in smartphones - and have regularly outclassed the slowly catching up Windows competition in battery tests since Apple's switch. This is also the case with the M4 in the Macbook Pro - while still delivering impressive power.
