Autumn is here! And the coughs, colds, sneezes and the like are already starting. In addition to flu-like infections, the next wave of coronavirus is already on the horizon. And with it the question: will I also fall ill with Long Covid? How high is the risk, what influences it and what differences are there? We have all the information for you!

As far as the documentation of Long Covid cases is concerned, not too much has changed here: There isn't any, so we still don't know any concrete figures. However, we can make reliable statements about the international study situation. It can be assumed "that around 700,000 people in Austria have suffered and/or are suffering from at least one form of Long Covid," says Prof. Dr. Kathryn Hoffmann from MedUni Vienna. And due to constant new infections and reinfections, there are more people affected by long or post Covid every day.
