Where to put e-car batteries? Carinthians have a solution

Cell phones, electric cars, cordless screwdrivers: no everyday life without lithium-ion batteries - but what to do with the dangerous scrap? The Carinthian start-up "PLiB" is working together with the University of Graz on a new recycling plant in which batteries can be processed in an environmentally friendly way.

First things first: the idea of a resource-saving processing plant for lithium-ion batteries is not just a pipe dream, but has already been put into practice - because the prototype is already up and running. This means that the entire electric car industry could be on the verge of a turnaround in the coming years. And the project has already been nominated for the first sustainability award!
