Loss of competitiveness, falling demand, rising costs - these are all words that describe the current situation of the domestic economy. So what do they want from the next federal government? We asked nine top managers ahead of the National Council elections on Sunday.
Everyone is calling for a reduction in bureaucracy, while at the same time there are more and more rules and regulations - this is just one of the phenomena that business managers can no longer even smile about. The reason: slow procedures, an extreme amount of paperwork and requirements that are almost impossible to fulfill are the reasons why Austria is increasingly falling behind other countries. Added to this are high energy costs and increased wages, which are becoming an ever greater disadvantage in international competition.
