Tyrolean vegetable farmers are calling for fair competition and have also proposed solutions. Another proposal has now come from the Transitforum Austria-Tyrol - and it is diametrically opposed to what is currently being practiced in the EU. It has been on the table for some time! 

Strengthening regional producers and giving preference to products from local production: this idea is anything but new. The Tyrolean state parliament passed two resolutions to this effect with a constitutional majority - one in 2009 and the second in 2014. However, the actual situation is different.
