22-year-old stabbed: “There was blood everywhere”

A 25-year-old Serbian man stabbed his girlfriend several times with a kitchen knife on the street in Linz-Ebelsberg on Thursday evening. The 22-year-old was able to flee into someone else's house, where she collapsed, seriously injured. Residents who became first responders describe the dramatic moments.

A few splashes of blood in the hallway and on the walls of a quiet apartment building in Linz-Ebelsberg are a reminder of a young Serbian woman's fight for survival. "There was blood everywhere. The woman was in pain and just called the police, the police, the police," say the neighbors, still shocked 17 hours after the attack on a 22-year-old woman at a "Krone" local inspection.
