This derby really had all the ingredients! The Styrian duel in the Regionalliga Mitte between Deutschlandsberg and Weiz swept the fans off their feet: a surprising lead, a heart-stopping final and card games at the end. DSV Leoben? Still first, but without shining.

The start to the season could not have been much better. Deutschlandsberg got off to a flying start in the regional league with two wins and a draw. But in the derby at home against Weiz, the run of success almost came to a halt. David Schneidler had practically smelled a rat before kick-off: "It won't be easy, we've always found it quite difficult against Weiz," said the DSC chairman.
