Not enough asylum accommodation: Styrians pay high fine

Almost none of the federal states have met the quota set by the federal government for the accommodation of asylum seekers. This leads to high "fines" of up to seven million euros! Only two federal states are stepping out of line - and receiving money.

The issue of migration and asylum will dominate the upcoming election campaign. In Styria, SPÖ social affairs councillor Doris Kampus is trying to comment on this emotionally charged field in a decidedly sober manner - with figures, data and facts.
