A bright flash, a deafening bang: six campers are in hospital after their campfire exploded in the shadow of a Mühlviertel castle. And this is not the first time they have experienced this! The investigation by the Ministry of the Interior's defusing service brought more questions than answers.

A balmy midsummer night in the Mühlviertel. The heat of the day was still in the air, crickets were chirping all around and the campfire was crackling while six excursion guests were barbecuing in the shade of the old castle ruins at the Prandegg tavern's campsite. Nobody was prepared for what happened at around 10 pm.
