Heatwave could be the last for Vienna this year

The next heatwave of the summer is just around the corner. By the middle of the week, it is likely to be "horrible" in Vienna. But there is hope that it could be the last one for this year. Even if experts are skeptical - there are detailed forecasts until the end of September, and they give hope.

Temperatures will start to rise as early as Sunday, and eastern Austria in particular, with Vienna in the middle, is heading for another heatwave. This will last about a week, confirms Ariane Pfleger, meteorologist at Geosphere/ZAMG. However, according to Pfleger, the heat will still feel good up to and including Monday compared to what comes afterwards: "It will start off reasonably pleasant."
