The “White Horse Inn of Lauffen” in a salt rush
Devil, Lord God, Emperor and salt. These keywords describe the Salzkammergut in a nutshell. And they are also guidelines in the narrative theater "Das weiße Rössl von Lauffen": As part of the Capital of Culture, theater professionals worked with amateurs to create a multifaceted stage work, which premiered on Friday in the oldest market in the Salzkammergut.
It's almost like a maturity test: children and young people from Lauffen are allowed to perform for the first time at the "Festival", which has been around here for a long time. But this year's production of "Das weiße Rössl" has reached a high level. And the youngsters are enthusiastically involved, holding their own alongside their elders in the chancel of the church of Maria im Schatten, which serves as the stage.
