An analysis by the "Krone" shows: Some everyday groceries have actually become slightly cheaper again in Upper Austria's supermarkets after the extreme price hikes of recent years. Where you can save more again and how the prices of bread, flour, milk & co. have developed - we provide an overview.

The general price increases in recent years have also caused the cost of everyday shopping in the supermarket to explode. For Upper Austria, this means in concrete figures: 250 grams of butter became 50 percent more expensive from 2021 to 2022 (2.69 instead of 1.79 euros), the price of a kilo of wheat flour rose by a third (from 0.93 to 1.25 euros).
