The fourth Olympic Games await table tennis ace Sofia Polcanova in Paris. Working with a psychologist has recently paid off for the top athlete. As a big fan of the cult magician Harry Potter, the marriage was fitting. "I read the books in English, Russian and German," laughs the 29-year-old.

She has been at the top of European table tennis for years, as evidenced by her European Championship titles in both singles and doubles in 2022. Sofia Polcanova is convinced that she has become even stronger and, above all, more mature since then. "I was even unhappy with my game when I became European champion," she recalls.
