Shooting wolves could cost us tax money

The Niedernsill wolf may be hunted from midnight. If the regulation is overturned by the ECJ, there is a threat of a lawsuit against the Republic and the taxpayer will have to pay. The politicians have no legal consequences to fear.

The third wolf is about to be shot in Salzburg - at least if the Deputy Governor Marlene Svazek (FPÖ) has her way. The decree signed by all members of the provincial government on Monday permits the shooting from July 16th, midnight.
