A woman from the Innviertel region found a savings book in schillings and, after a little confusion, is now getting it paid out after all. A real challenge for the bank employees who now have to search for the interest. Because, of course, they need to be properly added for 36 years. But there were no digital archives back then - it's going to be a pain.
Interest and compound interest - the bankers at Sparkasse Braunau have a real challenge ahead of them. A savings book in schillings that has remained untouched for 36 years needs to be updated. As reported, Sieglinde St. (52) from St. Peter am Hart had found the "Büchl", which was still registered in the name of her grandparents, in her mother's estate, but had actually lost the legal right to the 440,000 schillings (around 32,000 euros) deposit.
