Anton Lang: “SPÖ must tighten up its asylum policy”

The SPÖ has changed course when it comes to migration. Styrian Red Party leader Anton Lang speaks plainly in an interview with "Krone": asylum seekers with criminal convictions should be deported and family reunification should be reviewed. 

"Krone": Following the shift to the right in the European elections, the SPÖ is struggling to reposition itself on the issue of migration. What is your position on this?
Anton Lang: It is good that the migration issue will be on the agenda in a week's time at the summit in Vienna, where Hannes Schwarz will be representing us. It's about taking measures that the majority of the population wants. This means that we as the Styrian SPÖ are advocating a clear tightening of the current party line.
