Last year, the country was rocked by an alleged police scandal. As part of an investigation into the Italian gambling mafia, Carinthian officials were also allegedly under suspicion - including Austria's first female police director. It is now clear what was found on the devices confiscated during the raid.

The wheels of justice grind slowly - even when it comes to such prominent suspects as Carinthia's police director Dr. Michaela Kohlweiß, who has been facing serious allegations of bribery for nine months now. As reported, an Italian investigation into the betting mafia is said to have mentioned a "Capo della Polizia" and "Michaela".
