The “sloppy genius” has matured into a model professional

Austria's greatest hope at the EURO in Germany is Michael Gregoritsch: the Styrian has scored 15 goals in 53 international matches so far, most recently scoring a treble in the 6:1 win over Turkey in March. Dad Werner Gregoritsch chatted about his son, his qualities and career goals on the occasion of the "Krone" EURO series.

When Austria take on Serbia in the Vienna Prater on Tuesday, U21 team boss Werner Gregoritsch will be cheering on the Rangnick team - especially his son Michael, who has long since completed the transition from "sloppy genius" to model professional. The coach dad (he was Michael's ex-coach in Kapfenberg and in the U21 team) has high hopes for the junior at the EURO.
