Surrounded by family and friends all their lives, many residents of old people's homes become very quiet and sometimes lonely. The "Krone" spoke to carers about the sad fate of the forgotten and how attempts are made to combat loneliness.

When people talk about nursing homes and homes for the elderly, it is usually in the context that they are almost bursting at the seams. In the discussion about more care places, the fate of the residents is often pushed into the background. That's why the "Krone" took a look around Carinthia's retirement homes. And one thing can be said: There is a lot of loneliness.
