Rotten wood, official requirements and a lack of water. With four examples, "Bergkrone" shows how badly the alpine infrastructure in Austria's mountains is in need of repair and reveals why we need mountain huts.

Anyone who is out and about in our mountains appreciates alpine huts that offer protection in an emergency and where you can enjoy the end of a tour. A big thank you to all hut keepers for this.
