Styrian civil servants are being insulted more and more often

Insults, threats and the parties' lack of German language skills: Employees of the Styrian district authorities have to put up with a lot in their day-to-day work. It is also alarming how many weapons have to be confiscated during entry checks.

Employees of the authorities in Styria often need thick skin. Emotions quickly boil over, especially in sensitive matters such as the Child and Youth Welfare Act, social benefits, animal welfare or administrative penalties. Since coronavirus, the potential for aggression in society has continued to rise, as shown by a recent question from the FPÖ to Styrian Governor Christopher Drexler on the situation in the Styrian district authorities in 2023.
