A look at the archives shows how the justice system deals with arsonists. One thing is immediately clear: when it comes to arsonists, the justice system is often much stricter than usual. The now accused and confessed 19-year-old Upper Austrian woman therefore has a lot to look forward to. Especially because it was her second chance.

Setting fire is no joke, it's deadly serious - perhaps schoolchildren should be taught that "169" is not a trivial offense, but a capital offense. After all, the paragraph reads: "Anyone who causes a conflagration on another person's property without the owner's consent is liable to a custodial sentence of one to ten years."
