A property developer is advertising a residential project in Meidling's Wittmayergasse as "attractive living". In reality, the residents are desperate. After a dramatic incident at the weekend, the next incident has now occurred, as evidenced by pools of blood. A man's life is in danger.

"Something's happened again." Based loosely on a saying with which most books by author Wolf Haas begin, tenants of the affected complex contacted the "Krone" (again) on Wednesday morning.

As reported, it was only on Sunday evening that a mentally ill man had sworn at the police, jumped out of the window and been caught with a sheet. According to Diakonie, the charity that looks after him, his behavior was not sufficient for a compulsory hospitalization.

Unfortunately, the authorities are usually very reluctant to use forced hospitalization due to the overloaded health system.

Diakonie-Sprecherin Roberta Rastl

No forced hospitalization despite window jumping
"The facility had already informed him that he had to vacate his apartment," says Diakonie spokeswoman Roberta Rastl. Unfortunately, the authorities were very reluctant to use forced hospitalization due to the overloaded health system. The incident is very regrettable, says Rastl. Now another incident is causing horror.
