Johann Stockbauer (75), the legend of the Carinthian beer industry and long-time head of the brewery in the Drau town, on the official, slow death of Villacher beer.

"Krone": What is to blame for Villacher's decline? Is less beer being drunk? Because of health or alcohol limits - or price?
Stockbauer: It's not that bad, beer consumption is quite high throughout Austria. We've already overtaken the Germans in that respect and are the second strongest nation in Europe after the Czech Republic.
