City center retail is in crisis - this currently applies to the whole of Styria and also to Graz City, the largest and probably most beautiful "shopping center" in the country. Now there is a big question mark behind the next traditional store.

This outcry in the previous week was unmistakable even in Graz City Hall: Kastner boss Martin Wäg expressed his concern about the current difficult economic situation in the city center trade via "Krone" and also blamed the city's construction site planning for this. The response, including a verbal rebuke from Mayor Elke Kahr (KPÖ), was not long in coming - we reported. But what is the real situation in city center retail now?
